We're excited to offer an abbreviated 6-week onboarding training phase for individuals who meet the qualifications for Trooper II (Wyoming POST Advanced Peace Officer Certification or equivalent, a minimum of two years of certified law enforcement experience).
New hires who meet the qualifications for Trooper II may choose to attend the full 20-week Trooper Basic Academy or the 6-week in-house onboarding training phase before beginning Field Training.
New Troopers are required to stay in the provided housing during training days and successfully complete their designated course of training at the Training Academy in Cheyenne, WY as a condition of their employment.
