Academy Class 108 began in January 2025. Applications for Academy Class 109 are currently closed, with testing completed in April 2025 and the class commencing in late summer 2025. Applications for Academy Class 110 will open soon. In-person testing for Class 110 will be held in Cheyenne from August 11th, 12th, and 13th, 2025. Academy Class 110 will begin in January 2026. Please note that application and prerequisite completion are required in advance of in-person testing.

We're excited to offer an abbreviated 6-week onboarding training phase for individuals who meet the qualifications for Trooper II (Wyoming POST Advanced Peace Officer Certification or equivalent, a minimum of two years of certified law enforcement experience).
New hires who meet the qualifications for Trooper II may choose to attend the full 20-week Trooper Basic Academy or the 6-week in-house onboarding training phase before beginning Field Training.
New Troopers are required to stay in the provided housing during training days and successfully complete their designated course of training at the Training Academy in Cheyenne, WY as a condition of their employment.
